We are an integrated system provider. We need to achieve 100G 100km submarine conversion. The power loss needs to be lower, preferably 26db, because we do not have extra space to place fiber amplifiers, but the signal transmission quality must be guaranteed.

Challenges

1. The transition distance is too long under the sea with costs limited.

2. Considering sea transition with fiber loss bigger to assume future loss .

3. No more spaces to put boosters together to amplify when power weak.

4. It is not easy to do the maintenance work in the future .

Solutions

We use a special material developed by ourselves, which has the characteristics of high power and wide coverage, and use 100G QSFP28 modules 6C-QSFP28-ZR4+ to connect the two sections. This combination can transmit 100km without a fiber amplifier, and ensure the signal quality and link loss at 26db. In addition, this material is cost-effective and does not require the use of other equipment for assistance, which reduces the difficulty of maintenance.
